On Wednesday night, October 18, 2023 Temple Bat Yam hosted a moving and inspirational Interfaith Service in Support of Israel and Peace in the Middle East and the World for the Berlin-Ocean Pines Community. The service was lead by Rabbi Arthur Rutberg of Temple Bat Yam with music provided by our cantorial soloist Cheryl Taustin and our organist June Todd. The offering of prayers and the scriptural readings were shared by Pastor Dale Brown of the Community Church of Ocean Pines, Reverend Frank Harpster from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and Reverend John Wright from the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Salisbury. There were over 200 members of our community in attendance at the service. The support from the community is wonderful. Maryland State Senator Mary Beth Carozza, Mayor Rick Meehan of Ocean City and Jim Mathias were among those in attendance showing great support for Israel and peace in the Middle East.
